Project Summary

The property had been brought as a development project by the client to split into flats and sell at profit. The plan was to minimise the money spent on the house and maximise profits.  Along the way the client decided they wanted to keep the home and move into it.

Now the project brief has changed and instead of cheap windows the client wanted to restore and retain the properties period features. This included restoring the original brickwork, removing the uPVC windows and putting in handmade timber sash windows.

The Solution

The uPVC windows had to be removed and the task of making bespoke timber sash windows was put into motion. The client opted for timber sash windows over uPVC sash windows as they wanted the home to look as vintage as possible with all the original features.

Vintage sash’s design team came to the property and measured each window individually to get an exact fit, the measurements were taken and the timber sash windows were made and fitted perfectly, the end result is a stunning Victorian home.
