uPVC Sash Window Installation
While many homes have uPVC windows, they can sometimes be badly fitted – as they were on this particular property sited in the town of Leyton, which is part of East London.
While the client unsurprisingly wanted to remove these sloppily-installed windows, they also sought to rebuild the house’s Victorian bay window in stone, restore the bricks and undertake repointing.
We knew that we could help them with adding new sash windows to this house and, in the process, revitalising its appearance in a way that would keep this appearance distinctively vintage.
We installed dark uPVC sash windows – five overall – at the front of the house to retain a vintage look to this residential property, which lies near various other East London areas, including Walthamstow, Leytonstone, Stratford and Clapton.
Our clients always have free rein over the colour in which we manufacture windows for them – and, in this case, we went for a dark hue to fit in with the wider design intended for the overall property.
The house also got a line of bi-folding doors fitted at the back, enabling the client to quickly and easily make their home feel more spacious by opening up more of it to the outside world.
"I hated how awkward the old windows looked on the house – it had slightly damaged my faith in window fitters. However, Vintage Sash have restored my faith and then some – they designed whole new uPVC sash windows for me from scratch, and those windows have been installed so much more professionally than the old ones. Thanks, VS – I’ve already recommended you to friends! "
