uPVC Sash Window Installation
This project focused on an old house which had fallen into disrepair due to severe neglect. However, the client was interested in restoring this heritage property to its former splendour.
To this end, the client wanted to restore the home’s original features – and understandably so, as historically authentic decor can contribute significantly to a property’s market value.
Therefore, the client contacted us to discuss what we could do to improve the condition of this dilapidated Victorian property located on the Blackhorse Village residential development.
As we know how crucial a property’s front door is in garnering positive first impressions of the building, we fitted a Victorian door to the front part of the house, where passersby in Walthamstow would easily be able to see it.
In accordance with the client’s wishes, we also installed five uPVC sash windows at the front of the property, along with a further five uPVC sash windows at the back. The client chose uPVC due to its reputation as a low-maintenance material.
The overhauled home now truly looks the part as a Victorian-era property, which remains faithful to its original appearance while still benefitting from the resilience of the modern uPVC material chosen for the sash windows.
" I’ve long had a keen interest in original Victorian decor, so you can imagine my disappointment when I found this genuine Victorian house looking more than a little worse for wear. Now, though, the house looks like something straight out of a TV period drama – I’m amazed at the transformation the team from Vintage Sash have brought about, and all at a great price, too."
